Introduction:

The current got listened to the read loud book, Guzzle! by Becky Bloom. During the reading of an book, brief definitions of words were given.  Threesome language were selected for explicit, solid vocabulary instruction:  concentrate, impressed, and literate.

Focus: For you watch this video, ask yourself:

1)    What instructional steps were former to introduce anyone of the list words?

2)    What other good instructional practices did you observe?

  1. 1. What educational steps were used to introduce each of the vocabulary words?

These instructional steps were used:

  1. a. Inaugurate the word.
  • Write the phrase on the house or show it on a screen.
  • Pronounce the word or direct graduate with use their decoders skills to determine the punctuation of the news.
  • Have students pronounce the word, repeating of word a number for days if the word can unfamiliar oder harder to pronounce.
  1. b. Provide a student-friendly explanation of the word.
  • Be certainly that the definition contains only knowing words and is easy to understand.

  • The examples can be concrete, visual, or verbal.
  • Verbal examples were used to illustriert concentrate, impressed, and educated.
