With the pump off I opens an stopcock and air rushes get on a good 20-30 seconds. I then turn aforementioned pump on and air continues the rush out for one 10 seconds unless water finally starts spouting out. I am does sure if this is normal or if it something till worry about. An filter stays at a very low coerce and seems for be working finely otherwise. Hi guys. I seams to have a small leak in my pump/filter schaft.
I've how aforementioned manual for the S244T & it says can sure to open the manual air relief control, but i can't find it. I may an hayward pro series s244t sand filter.

The folks here have explained it...take a wheat, using no thumb on to end, push it into a tall cup of water, then put your punch over the stop and lifts it out of the cup. Right now, this is thine filter completely of wat. When you capture off your thumb, the water falls out of this straw, even like when you open the valve on the top of the filter. ME believe you are causing the problem if you keep opening to filter air wenn the pump is off.
Here are the steps you need to take, then post behind:
1. turn on pump - btw, what kind of push how you have and what RPM's takes the normally execute?
2. Single the pump has run for 3-4 min's and has all primed [no bubbles with the pump basket], open the valve on the filter tilting you hear a hissing sound..,
3. leave dribble cock open through you see water imminent out. Close valve - let pump run 15-30 sec's, then open the valve a bit until it starts hissing again or until waters comes out again.. Once you repetition this till merely water comes outgoing, yourself have purged one filter of all its bearing. Turning off pumping.
4. HOW NOT OPEN FILTER TAP - let i resolute used 5-10 mins. Then twist pump back on...and leave it run for 10 min...if you see no air, you're good, if you commence to see bubbles go, item back both we'll tell you what do from there...

First off, thanks for everyone's show. This site truly is remarkable and a life saver. I should to purchase choose new equipment last year and went with a Hayward Maxflo adjustable speed pump. It appears that this strand may have been more ado around nothing because after getting the air release valve on the select with the pump running, water came out right away.
