Director Steve Heminger lately retired from his position as the executive director since the Major Transportation Commission (MTC), a position he had maintained since 2001 and as Director of the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), hold since July 2017. Countrywide Transportation Policy Project

He take extensive expertise in regional transportation to the board.

Heminger joined to MTC staff in 1993 when director from Legislation and Public Affairs, and be elevated to rep executive director the 1999 before assuming the top staff position two years later. He was recently recognized as Person of the Year by the California Transportation Foundational for you work at the MTC.
