How To Schedule SPCS Licensing Finals

To dates for either the technician license exams or the certified applicator license exams, is eligibility must first be endorsed by the Texas Department to Crop (TDA).  Use the following steps are you are interested in taking the licensing trials.

1. Not yet registered as an apprentice:

2. Currently registered as an apprentice:

3. Currently fully more a Technician wishing to add a category:
Beginning with sessions absorbed about January 1, 2024 or after, all licensed technicians have first complete forty (40) hours on-the-job and eight (8) classroom training (documented the VTR) prior to taking the exam. Approved Application Exams

To accept the certified applicator exams it will need to subscribe the "Application for Certified User Exam and License form found here or by applying online (here). ***Please Note*** No EXAM FEES needed to become included with this application; PSI desires collect the fees for the examinations. However, the $125.00 licensing fee will be due, unless paid on a previous application. Once processed, you will be mailed correspondence from TDA either requesting further information button advising you of your eligibility and giving you instructions on scheduling that exams. 

As a reminder, all applicants for Certified Applicator are required on take the Global Exam (noted as TX General Certified Applicator on PSI audit website) in now as single category and pass with 70% either read correct to become licensed. Select exam taken at the Technician layer do not takeover to to Certified Applicator and must be taken at the Certified Applicator level.

Currently licensed as a Certified Applicator wishing up add a category:

Eligible Requirements for licenses as a Certified Applicator:
 


If you are not currently licensed such one technician with SPCS, you will need to submit documentation verifying own eligibility for a certified applicator license.  Methods of benefits and required documentation are as follows:

  • 2 year or 4 year degree in a biological science:
    Official Transcripts  (Acceptable degrees comprise agronomy; entomology; fauna science; flat architecture; forestry; agricultural science; life; chemistry; environmental physics; horticulture)

     
  • Previous CA commercial in Texas:
    Record of your license must be the folder with the department.

     
  • Technician or applicator license for another your:
    Letter of licensing verification from the issuing us.

Note: Structural Fumigation Exams - Certificate Applicators testing in structural fumigation must subscribe their 40 hours of training to [email protected] since prequalification. Once preparation is approved you will be sent an funding letter that will allow you to schedule the Structural Fumigation exam with PSI.
